Pedicure in 2014 is here to Stay for Good

Pedicure is more than just trimming and shaping toenails. A proper pedicure is about giving new life to your feet. This is why people sometimes spend more than an hour at the pedicurist. You think they just get their Nails trimmed and painted? Well think again… rather visit a pedicurist and get a full session done. You will feel as if your feet have blossomed somehow.

 

To put it in short a pedicurist will typically take you through steps – it will start with a foot spa where you have hot, scented water bathing your feet (this is where the champagne comes in). This would be followed with an exfoliated rub (those grapes I mentioned) to remove cuticle and dead skin from your feet. This is when your toenails will be trimmed and shaped and further massage with creams (rose paste anyone?) and aromatherapy oils will follow. This will be followed by a nice foot massage and you are done, lighter on your feet (those dead cells are gone remember?)

 

Today you don’t visit a pedicurist but a foot spa. Well today is not the word to use because foot spas have been there for ages. But what’s new this year? What can you expect from the best foot spas in town? Let us see what the best pedicurists have to say.

 

This piece wouldn’t be complete without a mention of the most likely to be loved colors of 2014. Bright logo colors in blue and yellow and soft pastels including grey will dominate the nail color scene of 2014. The neon colors will continue to be there but you can expect to see more are more solid colors that can be as bright as orange or as mellow as lilac.

 

The combination of yellow, white and blue looks rather electric and will create that desired effect. The dark chocolate  shades definitely worth taking a look. And please remember that the dark shades of winter are here to stay this spring/summer. The forest greens and the blues will join the ranks of chocolate and midnight blacks. The metallic colors and metallic color combos will also be there.

 

Pastels will be there and you would see the full range starting from elegant white to lilac to lavender to pale blue to pale green.
